Summary
Brand and Channel are entirely free-form. This means that you can use these to divide your consents by some delineation that makes sense for your business. Here is an example to illustrate this.
Consider, for example, Disney. Disney has sub-brands, like ESPN, Lucas Films, theme parks, etc.
Make ESPN a brand.
For ESPN, for each avenue by which a person can provide consent, we could have a different channel. They could be:
- ESPN iOS mobile app
- ESPN Fantasy iOS app
- Main web page
- OTTP (IPTV)
- ESPN iOS Android app
- ESPN Fantasy Android app
